Temp & time display crapping out
Hello,
I have a 2000 E430 and the digital temp and time/gear displays on the dash are going dead. I think this is a cronic problem for this generation E-class. Any recommedations or is it realistically to expensive to fix.....just live with it?
Thanks.

If it is temp and gear select display that are at out the temp sensor will only resolve part of the problem at best.
Suggest this is a common problem. technology change with new model!
New cluster is expensive from MB. However they appear quite frequently on eBay...at least in the UK, circa £60, but you need to get an MB dealer to code the "new" unit for mileage details/market etc. Check out that cluster is MPH not KPH and likewise max readout on Tacho. Petrol vs Diesel.
Good luck.
