Default Sun roof relay or switch?

My sun roof only has two positions, all the way back and up. If the push the switch in the up, forward and down positions the sun roof goes to the up position and back goes back. Is it the relay or the switch? Its a '91 190e 2.3L.

Default RE: Sun roof relay or switch?

Ok, basically its a sliding/tilt roof which has of course and up, closed and open positions. The sunroof switch has four directions, up, down, forward, and back. Normally when the switch is pushed down or forward, the roof will move to the closed position. Instead, when the switch ispushed down or forwardthe roofmoves to the tilted up position. This system has both a switch and a relay. I have no idea what the sunroof relay does in this case, so right now I think the switch has broken internally, but I don't want to replace it if its not the issue.
