I am having trouble with my sun roof. It will open but not close by the switch. I have to close it manually. Would anyone have the part number for this switch assembly? thanks, bb

 

need your VIN, then i can give you the part number.

 

When you push the switch to move the sunroof to the closed position, does the motor make any noise? if so it might not be the switch, it might be in the mechaism itself, or try cleaning the runner's and anything else like joint etc and grease with MB approved product. Try this firs at see what happens. I was once told this is a cause of al lot of sun roof failures is lack of maintenance.

 

Thanks for the hints. The motor does not run when trying to close, not even any noise. I did try to lube the tracks, no luck. thanks, bb
