Default Stiff ride for an E350?

Hi - I bought a 2010 E350 with the Sport package last week, and have driven it a couple hundred miles so far. One of the things I've noticed is that the ride seems a lot more firm than I had thought an MBZ would be. I understand that ride quality is a matter of personal taste, this IS a Sport model, and that it wasn't that noticeable at first. However, I'm coming away from a Chevy Avalanche, and was expecting a little more 'plush-ness'.

Anyone had similar experiences?

I had 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE before I bought my 2012 E350 Coupe. At lower speeds I couldn't tell any differences, believe it or not. I did have 22s and lowering module on my RR, so it handled well. My 350 is stock, with P1 and AMG sport. All I can say is the Mercedes is a sports sedan, not a camery or Taurus. If you wanted a plush ride steer away from German automobiles and look for less engineered cars.

I think you made a good choice though. Happy motoring.

Thanks, yes I'm already getting used to the ride, and enjoying every other aspect of the car.
