Good stuff.... Pacific Blue is a great color. C280 how many miles does your 420SEL have on it? That's a sweet ride and a great year. What a great large sedan. What color? I was about as close as you can get to buying an '89 560SEL with only 45K on the clock a few years ago... still kicking myself about that move. I love those massive cars. Best backseat in the world. Unmatched on the highway.

I agree about the room in also. Its amazing as far space. Its like everyone has there own whing of the car.You should of bought that 560SEL. With only 45k on it? Thats amazing. Last year I looked at a 1993 300E with aout 40k onit they wanted about $9,000 for it but it had a couple small issues.

You can never have too many Benzes! Ha! Occasionally you will see insane cars pop up on the gulf coast of Florida where I used to live. In Sarasota and Naples it's not uncommon to see 10 year old cars with 25K on the clock. Every now and then a big Benz shows up on a highline dealer's floor with crazy low mileage. These time capsules usually demand top dollar though as there are a select few out there who will pay for what they loved about those cars. Case in point... my mother sold her 1997 Z3, 6 cyl with 13K on the clock in 2003. Needless to say, 13K on a six year old car made someone else a very happy camper! Some of the old money areas of NY have those garage treasures I'm sure.

No kidding you know of Sarasota FL? I have a summer home in Vence Florida and use to own lots in Sarasota. Wonderfull town it is. Home of many celeberties and wealthy people. I went to a show at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Siesta Key and I pulled up to the parking area and the Valet parker commented about my old 1988 560SL. As if he hasnt seen one of them or drove one before. I told him I am huge Mercedes fan and he goes "Oh really, well in that case follow me" He takes me down into the parking garage under the hotel and there where NO LIE! at leat 60 Mercedes all in one place(S600 V12, E320, E55 AMG S430,C55 AMG, C300, C63, 300SL,300TD, SL65 AMG ML430,S320,300SD, 560SEL, SLR Mclaren, Brabus, Kleeman Benzes and soo many other Mercedes I cant even remember.) Along with Ferrari, Porsche, Viper, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce. You name it. I couldnt believe it.
