Default Removing gear selector suround

Hi,

The two switches for the air suspecnsion setting, and raising the car in my 2004 E320 with air suspension are very hard to push. When the car is very hot (out in the sun) they work just fine, so it's obvious that I've emptied some coffee of something down there.

I need to clean the switches, but first I need to remove (lift up...) the surround around the gear selector. The piece of trim that these switches are mounted in.

Any advice on how to do that? Do I just pull hard?

thanks,

Simon

If it's anything like older E-series cars, you just lift carefully on the trim around the gear selector, starting at the front (dash side).

I have been wanting to remove mine for a while now but am afraid to pull up too hard. I'm afraid that it may break. Can anyone that has done this before please comment? Thanks![8D]
