Hi everyone, I have tricky issue that has stumped me and my mechanic. I have an automatic1998 Mercedes E320 and the gear selector will intermittently not work.The car will sometimes only shift toneutral no matter which gear is selected. It always goes back into park, but not into gear. Occasionally, it will get stuck in reverse as well no matter which gear is selected. Any thoughts? Has anyone seen this before? Thanks!

 

sHIFT linkage or trans module,you will need to check both.
