"Reduce Engine Oil" message?
I've started getting a "Reduce Engine Oil " message on my 2003 E320. The first time I got the message, I was driving a freeway speed. The malfunction warning cleared when I slowed to surface street speed.
I had the oil changed today and the message came back at surface street speed. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi,
You may have a faulty engine oil senser or known as sender too. On My E320,2001 it's located inside the oil pan. To get to it you have to dran the oil and take the oil pan off so you can get to the sensor and change it. It runs about $90.00 to $100.00 if you get it online. It's a common problem with these E calss after a few years. If you are a handy man when it comes to car work you can do it yourself. Dealer will change you around $400.00 to do it. check your dealar to see how much they charges. hope this info help.

Check your engine oil level, make sure it is at the right level. If you have more than the max level reduce it. Or take it back to whoever did the oil change and have them reduce. if that did not work. You may have a faulty engine oil senser which is located inside the oil pan.
