Save me $$$ someone. I have to play with my ignition key [any of the 2 keys] almost 5 - 7 times before it can completely turn to start the engine. I do not think it is a key problem. Maybe the unit is loose. 1997 E420.

Save yourself lot's of $$$ and replace the key tumbler set now...before it is too late and you cost yourself $800 or more. Been down that road twice now with two different Benzes. Replacing the ignition tumbler set is easy-peasy, when the key will still work. Once it no longer works, it becomes a nightmare.
