Default Post-Oil & Filter Change Problem

I recently changed the oil and filter on my '92 300E and it was driving fine for two days until this morning. When I came to a stop, with my foot firmly on the brake pedal, I felt the car sort of stutter-step or lunge foward but in short sequences, almost like it wanted to take off. To add to this, the oil pressure guage was fluctuating from 1-3 very rapidly, again, in short sequences. Any have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Electrical surge? Check the alternator or battery. Happened to me 10 years ago after a 500 mile trip to VA, luckily it was less than 2 miles from my parents home, I also had the wipers come on (without touching the switch) , and other guages go wild.

Hmmm...I hadn't thought of that one. That's a place to check too!

Hmm...could it be low power from the battery? Or how about the grade of oil? or oil pump?

That engine is fairly bulletproof and I would be shocked if the oil pump is acting up. Unless you used 80w90 gear oil, the grade should not cause your symptoms, what grade did you use now that you have us thinking about that?
