Iv just bought a merc with possible a shady history, sold to me as 98R E220, friends have just told me there was no such model, looking at car rear and paperwork its a 93 E220, but has the round lights etc as 98 model....how could this be.....and has at some stage been re-registered to the R-plate...have I been conned???? Please enlighten

 

That model was only available in Europe so I am not to familiar but it is easy to update a W124 to a newer 98 style the Vin number and a call to a dealer would be the easiest way to find out the plate inside the drivers door would be a good place to start
