I bought a 1998 MB E320 last year; it has 88K now (85K then). I love the car, but have noticed that it burns a quart of oil every 2,500 miles or so. Someone told me that there had been a class-action suit about this problem. If you know how I can find out about this, please help me out.

A quart / 2500mi. is really nothing to start aclass-action suit, or even write home.
Most manufacturer, including Mercedes,will tell you that a quart / 1000mi is within normal production tolerance.
