I have a 1997 E420 I think the remote is suppose to roll up the windows and the sunroof, how do I do that? and my rear High beam is not working but the bulb is good. I also have a spear key square shape but it will turn the motor like it wants to start but it won't start is that a re-program issue or how do I reset the key? it's not a remote key just a spare key. Thanks in advance for any help.

 

Spear keys with no remote section only do door and trunk locks, no starting. To do window thing, hold key right up to the drivers door handle back by the lock cylinder with the radar portion facing it and hold the lock or unlock button respectively. Does it have the old DAS 2 ignition? (the key has the cool little spring loaded thing built into it if so) I'm not entirely certain those did the window thing, it might have started with DAS 3. (the one piece all plastic key with no flip out piece.) To do rear fog lamp, pull out lamp switch 2 clicks with full headlamps on. Only the drivers side has one in the rear, and they aren't always wired to work in the US models.
