Mercedez Benz 1997 E320
Can someone please help me fast on how to open the gas tank for this car? I just bought this car, and I can't seem to find it. Please help quick. This is not a joke. My car is almost out of gas.

Your piston lock for gas-up door inside the rear box of your car needs oiling! access it throug rear box or try WD-40 between gas-up acces door left side ( insert WD-40 oil stick and spray a little then lock and open doors throug drivers door see if it works. Opening and lockin main car door activates this piston lock

He didn't say he couldn't open it--he said he can't find it!! If you're really serious, maybe ask your wife--I hear a uterus is a good seeking device for a helpless male! (Try the passenger-side rear quarter panel and push on the little door!)

the lock is normally handled by the PSE pump and it unlocks whenever the door
is unlocked. merely pressing alongside the right edge of the door should be
enough to encourage the door to open.
if, however, it resists opening, the PSE pump/line may be acting up. there
should be a manual switch to unlock the door between the right trunk liner
and the inside sheet metal. to access this switch, you'll need to remove
the floor liner, the rear liner, then the right side liner....about a 10-15 min
task.

usually the manual bypass will manipulate it to open...and to get gas refill. but you
really would hate having to do this each time, which means leaving the trunk liner
off. it's possible that it's aged or something...cooties...who knows, and all is well
after a poke and prod.
if the door remains resistant to auto un/lock via the PSE pump, then the next step
would be to see if the air hose simply got detached between door plunger and the
PSE pump (under the rear seat, right/pax side). i don't know right off which PSE
spout is responsible for the gas filler door. will need to read up on this.
here is a pic of the business side of the PSE (pneumatic system equipment) control

if (progressively working to worst case scenario) it is the PSE pump, I see these
on Ebay, new, for about $300. the pump may not have failed, however, if the
passenger doors are still un/locking via dash or remote (smart)key. so more
symptoms may need to be gathered and evaluated along the way
