I spent a lot of time researching late model Mercedes untill about 5 days ago when I bought my 98 E320. I found a lot of useful information by googling msn autos. I especially liked the user comments and reviews. Just google something like "MSN AUTOS 1998 C230". I think you'll find that they both fair well, but the E class may score slightly higher reliability.

For me, the final determining factor was individual condition. I was fortunate enough to find an owner who had complete service records and was facing anxiously trading it in for next to nothing for a new one at the dealership.

Thank you Mike, I'll do just that. I to love to read the comments and reviews I have read so many that I've had to take a brake because I now know not what to do...LOL
I love these late model Mercedes but I really don't know enough just yet. It's been a long time sense I've had a Mercedes but I'm lookin real hard.

Funny thing my 1st car was a late model Mercedes when I was 14yrs old I got myself a 1958 Mercedes 220s awesome car. Wish I still had it. It got wiped out in my front yard. by a friend of my father's who was intoxicated @ the time.

well hope you have a great weekend and thanks again,,,,,,,Missb

Smile I have a 97' E320, anyfeedback on radiator/running temp issues?

I have a 97' with 91K miles, and it appears to run between 80 and 90 degrees especially on hotter days here in Georgia. I am filling up the radiator resevoir tank about once a week, and looked for the possible blown fan fuse in the fuse box but could not find it. Would a simple flush and fill help? Also, where is the thermostat located, how much is it, and is it easy to replace? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. -Tony
