Last problem..there was a rattling in the 94e320 where the gear shifter is..and sometimes the car starts in neutral and sometimes it starts in park..and sometimes it will only start in park if you"jiggle" it..the rattling has stopped but she still insists on only starting in neutral..is this the shifter grommets..and if so or if not, what has happened to make her so fussy about starting in gear? I bought the grommets..if I replace them will she start in Park, or is this something else i need to know while I'm in there and everything's open?

 

Is the shifter, shifting sloppy? like it feels loose?

 

Nope..it's tight.
