SLK230 a/c one side hot one side cold

Question SLK230 a/c one side hot one side cold

i just bought a 1998 SLK230 and its my first mercedes. my driver side is cold but the center and passenger side is blazing hot coming out the vents. i have both dials to blue which is cold and its still the same. can anybody help me on this. Im one of those DIY type person, so i would liek to know what it could be the problem.

Run the conditioner on full speed (5) and check all modes...
See if the air circulation is equal at left, middle and right side...

i ran the a/c on all modes still didnt change nothing. ive heard it could be the dual valve thats under the hood but where can i get that for cheap?

I got on a 1999 230 slk. I had a quote for around $1000 to r&r. I will spend the money but want to make sure it solves the problem

i found the dual vale for around $250 its an easy installation but i want to kno for sure if thats the problem dont wanna spend on sumtin that it isnt the problem. u know? so has anyone had this problem and solved it. i heard it could be a sensor too

I just test drove a 1998 slk230 with 52k miles on it & the same a/c problem...driver side cool & passenger side HOT!!! The dealership will service & fix this problem 2moro then I will own it...Yeah!!! I will find out details of this problem & repair details then post it here to help all I can. Kari
