keys lost programming

keys lost programming
1 month ago one of my keys lost program. today my second key lost program and would not start vehicle. both times when this happened I lost lock and unlock functions on the remotes immediately after it would not start vehicle. any ideas on what would caus this? batteries in the remotes are good. any help would be appreciated
