I just want to make aware to those that don't know. Here's my story I was washing my 2014 E 350 and I had the keys lying on the floor board of the car the trunk was open at the time.
I closed the doors to dry the car off and it locked on its own with the keys lying on the floor board of the car. So I thought I could fold down the seats to gain access but my seats does not fold down.
I ended having to acquire a ride home to get the extra key but before that I tried closing the power trunk and it would not close. Every time I closed it sprung right back up.
I had to leave the trunk open and get home to retrieve the extra key. Lesson learned for me that's for sure. Still figuring this car out and enjoying it all the while.
Is there a way to ensure the car does not auto lock?
