Default Intermitent oxygen sensor light trouble!?!

Hi i have just recently bought a benz 300E 1987, and the oxygen sensorlight stays on after i start the car, after the car gets warm it eventualy goes away, and sometimes it comes back...Does anyone have an idea on what this can be related to, or how to fix the problem?

Thanks

remove from warm not hot pipe and use the o2 socket you can get at any auto supply store and be careful of the wires.
o2 approved anti seize not the regular kind it can ruin an o2 sensor.
