2000 E430.

Over bumps there is rattling coming from the rear interior. Sometimes it seems to be the sunroof sliding cover when slid back, sometimes the lid behind the rear seat, sometimes in truck, I CAN'T NARROW IT DOWN! It does sound like an interior panel rattle.

Is this a common problem and is there a common solution or is there something to look for??

Get a passenger to help you locate source.
Quite feasible that it is the sunroof blind. Try blind in different positions (Open/Shut) to see if this helps.
Once you know where the noise is coming from then you can try to fix it.

Check to ensure that your spare tyre, jack and toolbox are well held down in their compartments in the booth or whereever.
