Interior door lights stay on. Is this normal?

Interior door lights stay on. Is this normal?

My interior lights on the inside bottom of my doors stay on all the time.
I just noticed it. i have 97 e300d just bought it. Can you help me?

door jam switch is probably the problem, check the door jams for the switch and you might see one broken.

also you my have left the switch on the dome light on as well. i have also seen those switchs get jamed into the hole
