Default indicator light / center light problems

320E, 1995 . A few months back the center light panel in the car started flashing ( i.e: radio, window controls, ) I took the car in and they fixed a bunch of other stuff ( in my opinion didn't need fixing , they said nothing about this matter- I got screwed basically, cuz I'm a chic ) , so then my cigarette lighter ( center ) started working on and off when I tried to charge my cell phone . Then a light in the center brake lights went out. And Indicator light went on . I took it to get it replaced and when a new light was put in it still didn't work - now all the lights in the center brake line are out .
Does this sound like a fuse in the center section or a more serious electrical issue ?

I would check the fuse first, it should be next to the steering wheel, below the A pillar region. The manual would indicate where it is located. If it is the fuse, then it s easy to fix. Another likely possibility is a loose harness/contact only, should not be anything serious.
