Default headrest drive

Hi there,

I have a 97 E420 and the headrest drive is broken. Could any one tell me how to disassembly the headrest drive ?

Thanks,

Jay

Make sure the seat switch is working properly before taking apart the seat.

my 1995 e320 had the same problem. I could hear the motor working, but no movement. Had to remove the seat-back...two screws at the base of the back, then the panel has to be pried from the upholstery. Not as difficult as it sounds. I my case the plastic guide for the gear that runs the rod up and down had broken. A hose clamp did the trick, and it's been working just dandy ever since. Good luck!

I can see the broken plastic guide in my case, but I don't know how to remove it from the back. Could any one tell me how to remove the broken drive from the back ? Thanks,

Jay
