Ok, my good folks, I have a 89 300E that I just put new plugs,wires,rotor, and cap in recently. By the way the car has 136k on it, and burns oil some as well as leaks oil also. My biggest problem is that I nearly kill the baterry trying to start it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

 

try the fuel system which is common problem.

piston ring and valve seal can cause oil consumption high.

 

Hard Start, Rough Idle, ABS Light? I just solved that problem on my 87' 300E with a new 'Overload Protection Relay'. It's red, located next to the battery and has a 10AMP fuse on it's top. The fuse wasn't blown, (which threw me off) but the relay indeed was defective. I've found them online for around $55, shipping included.
