Front bumper repair
A woman backed into the left side of my 95 E320 front bumper. The centerpiece of the bumper is cracked from top to bottom (4-6") and the end is popped away from the piece behind it. Her insurance company referred me to a "preferred vendor" who gave me an estimate toreplace just the impact cushion and, I guess, repair the bumper with a flex additive. paint and clear coat. The estimate is for $465. Is this a typical fix, or should I insist on a new bumper?
You take it to a quality shop of your choice and they will contact her adjuster and tell him how much to replace the bumper and paint etc.and arrange the rental car.You are not required to use their cut rate vendor, she is the faulty party. You take it where you want it,and they have to pay for proper repairs.ohlord
