1994 E320 coupe

My windows and sunroof work most of the time and then suddenly they just stop. Slam the door, drive down the road a bit, go on in a store come back and then they work, and then they stop...It's totally hap-hazard.

Any ideas? Relay vs Short vs ???

Of note: Even when the switches won't work the key in the door still opens and closes everything.

I've fixed a few electrical gremlins and vacuum problems on him, this is just one more.

hello, try the simplest things first the fuses are the ceramic ones (blue, red, white ) which over time in use the metallic stip (fuse ) gets cracks in it due to heating up and cooling down check the fuses first in fact best to replace as maintenance i've seen when cracks cause a interruption in power due to driving ,opening a door or just getting hot. and check all the fuse boxes in the car sometimes the description on the fuse car not always indicates other circuits that may be affected
