Default E320 Rear Ended now problem

I was rear ended in my '03 e320, now the transmission seems to be slipping or stuttering or something. Can they be related? Seems that the problem started when i was hit.

as an update to this, i noticed that the gear shifter inside the car seems to be out of alignment now. When it is in drive and i try to hit it right or left to manually change gears it doesnt work, i have to force it, beforebeing hit i used tojust tap it and it would shift gears. Isit possible the whole drive shaft or transmission shifted or got bent ?? also sometimes when i put it in drive it doesnt go in drive, i have to pull it down hard...

In a word, "yes". Did you have the car repaired after the rear end collision? If you did, then I would have the shop that did the work rectify the situation. If not, then you need to have the car checked out right away, before any further damage is done.
