Default e-320 mereceds blower

the blower on my '95 is not working correctly. The air and heat are working but the blower is not. When i it on economy, it appears the blower is working. When it is on the other setting, it is not. Do i need a complete blower....an $1,140 item. thanks.

I replaced the blower in my 95 E320 whe the car had abour 80K miles, back in 2000. A tedious job, but very do-able. Juat take your time. I seem to remember that the blower (squirrel cage) cost me about $300 from an internet aftermarket place. (germanstar, autohouseaz, etc.) Try these for a better price. My car has 190K on it and no blower problems since.

On economy, I think that outside air comes in and that may be what you are feeling through the vents.

I hope this helps.

i really dont see alot of blower motors them selves go bad compared to the amount of blower speed regulators going bad. try a blower speed regulator first then a blower. while you have the blower out you can actually test it by applying 12v to it.
