Default engine fan malfunction

Hi,
I have 1 malfunction on 2000 e220cdi showing "engine fan visit workshop" I have checked all fuses , changed the temp sensor but fan stays on maximum as soon as engine is started. The only other problem is the power has dropped especialy on hills and I can't hear the turbo like before , this must be related. I have a new fan control unit being fitted today and if the problem is still there , I will get the codes read . As far as I'm aware , the new fan control unit does not need to be programmed to the car as a new ecu would . Any suggestions ?One other thing , is there a site that shows oe parts catalogue similar to the bmw online parts that shows all parts and part numbers for the car with diagrams ?
Thanks .

Default RE: engine fan malfunction

I changed the control unit and still the problem was present , so I took the car to Mercedes who fixed the problem in 5 minutes . A blown fuse caused by the control unit breaking.
