I have a 92 E500 with 188k on it, new transmission and engine runs fine. I have a new job and have to commute 100 miles a day.

Question is should I drive it, enjoy it and plan on having to fix it or sell it now and buy a newer (2002ish) E class.....

Those E500's are sort of rare and you might want to keep it, If it is really an E500 and not badged incorrectly. I love that car, fast and sharp looking with the fender flares.
