Is it inadvisable to take your new MB to a trusted Indy Shop - that specializes in MBs - for your Service A's & B's - or better to go to dealer, pay the egregious mark-up 💲💲💲 for the first 4 years for service cost and then once the 4 years warranty runs out then go to your trusted Indy Shop for those services?

The recommended service on a 2023 model is pretty straight forward. If the independent shop is competent, then yes. I'd make sure that they have insurance coverage and would insist on a certificate of coverage since if they mess up and can't compensate you, you are holding the bag.
