Default cylinderhead gasket

Ihave a 1997 E200 andI suspect the head gasket has blown as the oil thas been contaminated and water emulisified andI noticed the last time the car ran it was very smokey forthe first couple of minutes and has used some water. My qustion is am I correct in my suspicions or does this model have any common issues that I should be aware ofie. Warping/Failing Cylinder Head, Engine Block failure Etc...??? This car has never overheaded or run for any distance after initial problem occured. Your help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Run a leak down test.Locate where the leak is,head gasket or in a cylinder wall.Coolant look like cream soup?Bubbles in the coolant tank?
Get out the tools.
