Default "Cruise Control Drive to Workshop" message

Hello pals,

Below message (not red color) appeared on the instrument panel during driving of my 2006 E350 4Matic (W211.087) and the cruise control stopped functioning last week. Next day this message's gone and the cruise control worked fine.

Cruise control
Drive to workshop

Yesterday I met this warning message again. Today it's disappeared again and the cruise control works fine.

What would be the cause of this?

I've seen low battery warning message couple of times recently in cold days (low temperature). I have to replace the main battery sooner or later. I replaced the auxiliary battery in the front engine room about 4,000 miles before (5 months ago).

May the weak main battery be the cause of the cruise control warning message above?

Thanks much for your advice.

I would doubt it anything to do with the battery, I would think it has something to do with the traction control system. wheel speed sensor or steering. Possibly a brake lamp switch too. Are you having any other issues with the car?
