Hope theres someone out there that can help. I have a 1989 300e coupe that has developed a strange problem. All the windows will go down but refuse to come back up unless either door is opened (to release the black plunger switch). The sun roof refuses to open or shut unless a door is open. Also the wipers do not work. Ive checked the fuses and also swapped the relay that is nearest to the bulk head in the relay box. Anyone had similar problems?

Replace the plunger switch. These are cheap and take no time at all to install. Replace both of them while you are in doing this just to be safe about it.

Sounds like the switch is messed up inside and is sending a signal that the car is off when the door is closed.
