Coolent leak from a small component under the block
Hi, I have an E class 220 diesel 2010 that's done 60K. Last year the water pump went, so was replaced, but then I found there was still a leak. Eventually it was found that a small component on the underside of the block had a very small crack in it. I managed to fix it with KSEAL, but it's now started again so I'll have to get it fixed! I'm told it will be an expensive job by my very good local garage! But they at the moment don't know what the component is! My man is on holiday until the end of the month, so I would love to get it fixed sooner but would like to find out what it is and how big a job it is to fix! HELP! Hope my missive makes sense! Thanks, Micky
I've no chance of getting a photo because the car would need to be on a ramp, but in any event the component is very difficult to see even with a torch! That is the problem, but I feel there is probably only one item in that area from which coolant may leak! Micky
