Hello, My M B 260E has a leak. It's anti freeze. How do you know when your water pump going bad and does it leak? I checked all hoses and radiator. Need help filling location of this leak. It's not a proessure type leak.

 

pressure test your system a pressure tester can be purched off e bay apply pressure to the system while it is cold then locate your leak i wouldnt want you to replaced a 200 dollar pump with out some simple diagnosis.

 

Don't forget to check your heater hoses. Some are hidden pretty well. When I first picked up my car, it had been sitting in a dealer's lot for 4 months and a rodent chewed on of the hoses under the battery. I thought that the coolant reservoir was leaking at first due to the location of the drip under the car everytime I parked. Good luck!
