Ive considered an E class ME for a couple of years and have decided from all reviews E class best fits my needs. i finally found a 1997 E420 1 owner, very nice, all records w/148k in my price range (asking $8500.) Please reply w/questions I should ask, what to look for and consider, etc.... or keep looking? Everyone's reply is greatly appreciated and T.Y.

 

I own a 1997 E420 and it's the best car I've ever owned, new or used. 148K is high miles, but if this is a one owner car that has been well maintained, it may be a bargain. I would recommend having the car inspected by a Mercedes dealer for any major problems before buying. Mine gets around 20 city (with a/c) and between 25-28 mpg on the highway.
