I saw this beautiful 1983 Mercedes 300 Turbo diesel with 140,000 miles on it. The guy selling it on line says it's 90% restored with a new paint job in the original Red. He's looking for $8,000.00 for it. I'd like some input about what to look for and ask this guy about the car. I think he's asking a lot but the car, from the pics it looks perfect. How do these cars drives compared let's say to the 98 I currently have? Is my wanting to sell my 98 with 70,000 miles to go to an 83 with 140,000 miles insane? I was looking for a simpler car without all the electronics and one that is more a pure Benz.
