Default Check Engine Light when fuel's low

Hello Folks,

I am a new 97 E420 owner w/ a quick question:

When the low fuel light came on yesterday, the check engine light simultaneously came on as well... Common issue? How can I reset the computer to see if it happens again?

Thanks in advance.

J

No, the light was solid... I was legitimately low on fuel. I don't notice any performance changes or noises or anything...

In my case 1995 E320 I have built in dianostic box. To reset the code I just press and hold reset button for about 1 minute.
