my check enegine light is staying on but as far as i know nothing is wrong because the car is riding fine?is there anything i show know about? oh also my abs light goes on and off does anyone know what is going on with my lights? oh my car has 177,000 miles

 

Hi,
The light ON advises a fault even if not apparent when driving.
No need to go to dealer IMMEDIATELY but you should make arrangements to get DTC (Fault Codes) read ASAP so that the (developing) problem can be actioned.
Some faults need earlier attention than others but without the code being read you won't know which applies.
In many parts of the world the car won't get it emmissions certificate if the light is ON.

check the fault codes using the Data Link Connecter...the little black box in front of the battery, it has a little cap to it that you can take off see the 16-pins.
