Default Celcius and Fahrenheit

I have a Canadian (metric) 97 E320. Is there a way to change the tempreture scale/indicator from Celcius toFahrenheit on the Climate Control Unit?

Here is the picture.

One more question sleepwalker. After I change the unit from C to F, does the display change in the instrument cluster display from C to F as well?

Thank you very much for the information and for you time.

Sleepwalker,

One more piece of information for you. This car is metric, but made for North America. The EC botton stayed on last year after I had some problems with AC and I ended up buying a whole new Climate Control Unit for it. I think the unit is at factory settings and is not programmed yet.

I think my other unit is OK to and defaulted to protective mode and EC stayed on. Is there a way to reset my other Climate Control Unit?

Thank you very much.

On P1, put 72 if you have auxiliary fan and 104 if you have a suction fan type (it means that you got no fan clutch and that the cooling fan is only driven by electric motor and not by belt).

on P2, it should be 136. remember the old value so you can always return if a problem is observed.

Sleepwalker,

I set P1 to 104 and P2 to 136. AC is working fine, but it shows the temperature in celcius (C).

Yesterday I set P1 to 03 and P2 to 01. The Climate control unit was showing the temperature in Fahrenheit (F), but it felt that the AC was not cooling the air.

As far as multiple values for P1 and P2, I cannot figure out the information that NMB posted on the other thread with the similar subject. I try to go through the process several times, but it seems that the same P1 and P2 value is displayed and can be changed every time. I don't believe NMB was able to enter multiple value sets for P1 and P2.

Any help or information on this is greatly appreciated.
