I have a 1999 e430. when I hit the breaks the only light that comes on is the 3rd break light in the rear window. when I turn the headlights on,the rear lights come on normally but they wont light up when I press the break petal. Any ideas on how to fix this?

 

My guess is that the bulb are busted. The rear bulb are double contacted by the way.
