anyone familiar with Continental Warranty? Am needing extended warranty - starmark?
I have an '01 E320 w/61K miles. The current ex warrantly is about to run out. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with Continental Warranty Co and what their experience might be. They are offering a 4 yr 48k mi warrantly for $1,638. You have to pay a $100 "co-pay" for every visit but it is good in entire US and Canada. All dealerships and mechanics. Sounds pretty good so far but they do not cover exhaust system. Any advice?

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AFTERMARKET EXTENDED WARRANTIES. THEY DON'T COVER WHAT YOU EXPECT THEM TO COVER AND THEY MAKE EXCUSES NOT TO COVER WHAT YOU THOUGHT THEY WOULD.
If I haven't made myself clear... check with the Mercedes dealer and verify they would accept their warranty coverage for authentic "NEW" MB parts, not salvage, used or reconditioned. You could find that crap yourself at a junk yard. I had Continental and they said they would cover the drive chain. Well, they didn't. The dealer where I bought the car declined them, Continental said they could send me the check after it was repaired by the dealer. But after getting the diagnostic estimate from the dealer (which Continental requires), they said the transmission failure was wear and tear at only 60,000 miles and would not cover it.

Mercedes Starmark warranty from the dealer, YES, I wish i took that route - since they provide dealer approved components and it would have covered all my expenses minus the deductible.
