Default antifreeze

Hi, I went to the Jiffy Lube to flush the radiator on my 98 E320 and they told me that they don't do the flush on MB because they have complicated system and they need different kind of antifreeze (cooler) !!! Does anybody know what kind of antifreeze do I have to use foe MB ??? And how can I flush it myself ??? Thanx !!!!

Default RE: antifreeze

if your radiator got cold spot, just replace it.

flushing needs recycling machine.

running the engine and feeding a tap water via hose on the upper radiator hose will also do, but cannot remove any particles that clogged the line. it needs a mixture of chemical to soften them.

a mixture of lye and water will do if done properly.
