Default 2003 C240 antifreeze

Is it required to use the MB antifreeze for my C-240 4matic wagon? The "check coolant" light just came on and I have to add a little. Want to be sure not to put corrosive stuff in this beauty!

You can also use Zerex G05 engine coolant/antifreeze. Available at your local auto parts store like NAPA, etc.

coolants should never be mixed.

you should only top up with the same type that is already in there.
if you take pride in your car then use the genuine product, its not that expensive.

1st lite is correct. Use the Zerex. You will know by it's color. Same thing you get at Mercedes parts dept. but in a
different container. I always mix it and any other antifreeze for my other cars 50/50 with DISTILLED water only.
