was reading something in repair manual i got..it said for the center drag link (94 e320) that it cannot move around with your hand and that it must be stiff when moving and pulling on it (like the tie rods)...well mine moves back and forth farely easily....its a new drag link though..any suggestions..bad item maybe? Sleepwalker..its all on you.....or anyone else who might be willing to help. thanks in advance

It can swivel around, but it should NOT move in-and out. Stiff movement is preferred.

Any slack in the linkage accumulatively deducts from the precision of the wheel alignment and translates into excess tire wear.

New? Did you buy that at an Authorized MB store?

mine swivels around, but it doesnt move in and out..so thats good..im safe then. thanks for the reply. Im used to the stupid american power steering systems (have 2 dodge caravans....dont ask) but know i have more info on this power steering system..which is by far one of the best. thanks again.
