I just sold a 98 e300 turbo diesel. While a lovely driving a car, it gave me a lot of problems. It only had 70,000 miles. According to Forum people, the 85 is one of the best. I have been thinking of purchasing one with 130,000. According to the seller, it was a one owner garaged car. The AC has been converted, new glow plugs and relays. He says everything works. The car is in another state so I'd have to drive it about 1,000 miles. I'm thinking of this being a daily driver. The guy wants $6,900.00 for it. Is this reasonable and what questions should I ask him? Any thoughts on this or am I being insane? I just love older Mercedes.

Thank you for your advise, I decided against the 85. What other turbo diesel non electronic mercedes would you consider?
