so i picked up a 96 E300D off eBay cheap, but no books. I find the search function here helpful, but not this time.


when I open my door, the dome light does not come on. I've fiddled with the switches, and "think" they are in the right settings, but no such luck. had the car two weeks, and just now realized I can't get the light to come on at all, until i turn the key into the #2 position. once I do that it all seems to work properly.


is there a fuse to check, or way to manually disable the dome light w/o the key on?
