Default 300E Timing Chain Removal

Could someone help me with removing #11 in this photo.

I read that it should pull out by hand, it doesn't.

The car is an '89, 300E, V6.

Thanks in advance

I have no idea how that happened, but have edited to include the orginal picture. After prying for about 1/2 an hour I finally got it out. I don't know if there is some special prcedure that would make it come out easier or if it was just stuck, because my manual doesn't say anything about removing it. The surrounding fiberglass distributer gasket was cracked during removal, so I'll just have to get a new one, it was already chipped though.

Thanks anyways for your quick replies!!
